New research project--Integration of Ground Motions into Induced Seismicity Risk Management in Northeast B.C.

The BC OGRIS has provided a grant to Nanometrics Inc. under the seismicity research and monitoring funding envelope. The research project will develop regional ground motion models for induced seismic events, which can be used for the assessment of associated hazards in the future. The project will also review existing magnitude thresholds of traffic-light protocols (TLPs) on the basis of ground motions for effective induced seismicity risk management.
