New Research—Disposal and Injection Well Testing and Analysis Guideline Update

BC OGRIS is providing a grant to Pressure Diagnostics Inc. (PDL) to review and propose updates, as appropriate, to the guidelines and regulations for safe and sustainable oilfield disposal, injection, and carbon capture and storage (CCS) operations in British Columbia. The project will study two rock fracture-pressure test methods (i.e., Diagnostic Fracture Injection Test (DFIT); Step Rate Test (SRT)), with the intent of identifying which method is appropriate in varying reservoir types. The project is anticipated to be complete by August, 2025.
