The BC OGRIS has provided grants to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia for two projects. The projects cover studies on fluid mechanic causes of gas migration and displacement fluid mechanics in primary cemented annuli. The BC OGRIS supports five new projects--four under the Environmental Impacts envelope and covering storage of saline fluids, alternatives to pneumatic pumps, permafrost ecosystems and setting protocols for withdrawing water from lakes. A fifth project has started under the Health and Safety envelope covering PM 2.5 emission factor development. More information is available on the Active Projects page of this website.
