Request for Proposals (RFP): PNG Legacy Site Restoration Programs

BC OGRIS, on behalf of the BC Restoration Management Committee (RMC), is soliciting proposals to plan and undertake restoration projects on Petroleum and Natural Gas (PNG) Legacy Sites in northeast BC (NEBC). The RFP can be found on the Opportunities page of the Restoration section of this website. Responses are due July 16, 2021 (4:00pm—PDT).

BC Oil and Gas Commission Industry Bulletin on Landslide Susceptibility Map

The BC Oil and Gas Commission has released an Industry Bulletin on the BC OGRIS funded Landslide Susceptibility Map project. The bulletin contains information on the project and how to access the spatial map. A link to the bulletin is available here. Request for Proposals: BC Top-down Survey and Root Cause Analysis

BC OGRIS, on behalf of the BC Oil & Gas Methane Emissions Research Collaborative (MERC), is soliciting proposals to develop a scientifically defensible field program, which is expected to include a ‘top-down’ screening survey, to identify and quantify methane emissions at the source level, and follow-up with OGI ground surveys, to identify the methane releases  from the top-down survey at the source level and determine the root cause(s) for those releases.

New research project--Towards Optimizing Well Plug and Abandonment in British Columbia through Data Analytics, Field Investigations and Predictive Modelling

The BC OGRIS has provided a grant to the Institute of Geoenergy Engineering at Heriot Watt University (Edinburgh) to evaluate historic well plug and abandonment (P&A) performance to provide increased knowledge for optimizing ongoing and future P&A costs and performance. Opportunity for a Legacy Site Restoration Program Manager

BC OGRIS, in conjunction with the Restoration Management Committee (RMC) of the Petroleum and Natural Legacy Sites Restoration Program, are soliciting proposals from interested parties for a Legacy Site Restoration Program Manager.  The Program Manager will report to the RMC co-chairs and will provide secretariat services for the RMC in implementation of the legacy sites restoration program—including engaging, coordinating and working with First Nation governments and the BC OGRIS on contract and project delivery.
